i agree with bob dylan's song...the times they are a changin.
i am leaving dallas to start my austin adventure.
i have a confession.
as much as i like to believe that i am a spontaneous person...i lied...i am not.
i like to do safe things.
i don't like change.
yet i know change is good and from it good things result.
deep down i am resisting.
i have become comfortable in dallas.
but i have learned that when i am uncomfortable i learn the most about myself and my role as a christian living in a broken world.
i am resisting right now.
i sense change coming.
it is all good change. i am trying to welcome it.
i am so excited about austin but my heart already aches for the friends and good times in dallas.
i wish life wasn't full of leaving people and separation but i appreciate new friends.
after school ended i realized what was happening but it still feels like things are going to go back to what they were.
now i am realizing that life is going on and the life i once knew is over. never to return.
confession #2.
i am scared...
that i am not suppose to be in austin.
that i am not going to get a teaching job.
that i am not good at starting over.
of friendships fading.
of life happening and me not living it.
of leaving the village...great things are happening at that church.
of being too comfortable in my spiritual walk. i need someone to challenge me.
that i am doing everything wrong.
i do know one thing.
this next stage of life has no room for complacency or any lack of discipline or obedience.
i intend to hold myself to a higher standard.
i pray that God will challenge me and change me.
i pray for a faithful spirit.

dallas girls you will be dearly missed.
every moment i count as a blessing.
it pains me to leave y'all but it is time.
cat, crawfy, calface, tuck, stuters...i love all of you and i pray that our next reunion will be soon.
austin here i come...please be nice.
